Technical Practice (20 mins)
Key Factors
- Direction and look to take player on
- Maintain disguised body shape
- Centre of the ball push to make pass
Organisation
- In groups of 4
- 3 player in a triangle on the outside
- 1, passive defender, in a central area
- 1 ball in each group
- The player with the ball dribbles towards the defender and makes a fake or disguised pass to either of the two player
- Passes to be used - outside of foot, inside reverse, inside open up, scissor pass
- The passing player and defender switch positions each time
Competition:
- Between groups of 4, first team to make it round 2 or 3 times.

Skill Practice (20 mins)
Key Factors
- Use fake/body shape to open up a pass to an alternative player
- Selection of skill or foot surface to effectively make pass
- Movement off the ball to create passing options
Organisation
- Groups of 6
- Area split into 4 quadrants
- One attacker in each quadrant
- 2 defenders
- The defenders may only defend the 4 lines between the attackers
- Rotate players every minute
- How many passes can you make individually?

Coniditoned Game (40 mins)
Key Factors
- Improvisation to find an unexpected forward pass
- Use of various foot surfaces to make pass
- Recognition of space
Organisation
- 30 x 24 pitch, split into thirds (defensive, middle and attacking)
- 2 attacker v 1 defender in the attacking/defensive thirds
- 3v3 in the middle third
- Players are restricted to their zones
- Only the two attackers can score
- Mini goals at either end with no goalkeeper

Agility & Co-ordination (10 mins)
Key Factors
- Scanning for cones
- Speed between cones to change direction, accelerate and decelerate
- Quick footwork - use of arms and knees
Organisation
Agility:
- Fill the area with 20+ cones, half flipped upside down and half the right way up
- Put the players in two teams
- The teams are assigned either upsdoe down or right side up cones
- The teams race to have the most cones their way
- 30 second rounds
Co-ordination:
- Footwork over hurdles
- Lateral footwork through ladder, in opposing directions
- Sprint to final cone
Progression:
- Receive and run with ball on final sprint
