MOTG - We have the ball
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organisation: Use half pitch with large nets and 2 pug nets.
Approx 16-18 players. 8-10 attackers (If less than 10 attackers eliminate CBs and have coach act as a feeder) vs 8 defenders (7+GK)
Activity: 2 teams play 9-10 attackers v 8 defenders with play beginning at half with CB making initial pass to start attack. Attackers score in large net with GK, defenders score in either of 2 pug nets at half. Play is dead if ball goes out of play or goal is scored.
Coaching Points:
When attackers are in possession can 3 high attackers overwhelm defenders with aggressive 1v1 play?
Can they shift across line staying onside and overload one side for advantage?
If top 3 play wider to isolate defensive FB, or in position for cross, can CAMs jump up between Winger and Strikers?
If wingers wide can attacking FBs jump up to support?
If wingers make runs inside can FB make runs, either with an overlap with winger, or a timed run to get pass from mids when wingers have given them space? Is CDM able to shift quickly side to side to provide pivot for switch if needed?
When attackers lose ball can they transition quickly and press high, with wingers pressing FB or CB and striker pushing up to prevent the switch?
Can midfielders press up and stay compact to eliminate space between the lines and prevent short passes or passes thru the middle?

Warm-up: 3v2 (20 mins)
Organisation: On half the pitch use either the right or left 2/3rds of the field to do a 3v2
Activity: Play 2 defenders (CB and FB), the CB start position is on 18 yard line, the FB at a cone just outside the corner of penalty box. Play 3 attackers (S, W, and FB or CAM). Winger dribbles towards cone, if W dribbles to outside wide of penalty area (A), that is cue for CAM to attack space between S and W to make it 3v2. If W dribbles to inside of cone (B), that is que for FB to attack space down wing to make it a 3v2. 3 attackers try to score on large net with GK, 2 defenders score in pug nets
Coaching Points:
Can 3 high attackers overwhelm defenders with aggressive 1v1 play?
Can FB or CAM read que to jump into rush quickly to out number or isolate defensive FB or CB?
Can S and/or CAM shift across line staying onside and overload one side for advantage?
Attack quickly and with intent.
