Set up:
4 cones roughly 10m apart, lines of 2-3 players on each cone.
Organization:
One line starts with the ball and passes to the first player in the line to their right. As soon as the pass has been made, the first player in the line opposite the receiving player runs towards them and tries to apply pressure with a curved run. Once the receiving player collects the ball, they continue by passing to the player to their right and the cycle continues. Once the defending player has made it to the opposite side, they head to the back of the line on that side.
Team/Player Task:
Can we curve our runs to force the player to play in a direction of our choice?
Coaching Points:
Can we apply pressure to the ball carrier at speed?
Can we curve our run instead of sprinting directly at the opponent?
Can we hit the outside foot of the receiving player with our pass?
Progressions:
Nil.
