Stage 1a

TECHNICAL REPITITION

Players start with a ball on the inside of the grid - pass with the inside of their foot to an outside player and switch positions (have players shuffle or backpedal to the outside to keep the ball in view)

COACHING POINTS

Proper passing technique (ankle locked, plant foot pointed towards target, strike through the center of the ball, follow through towards target)

Positive first touch when receiving (don't stop the ball)

Change direction and keep head up when dribbling

Stage 2

2v1 - Add pressure

Defender starts with a pass.

Attackers must dribble into "end zone".

Defender can counter into opposing "end zone"

Coaching Points:

- Be creative with moves against defender

- Fake a pass

- 2nd Attacker needs to get "open"
