Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): Corner box full session

warm up (10 mins)

Set up:

Have 4 areas boxed up at the corners of the pitch / 1 coned area with 10 balls in the centre of the pitch.

4 teams of 2 players.

Warm up 1:

Players run in and pick up balls out the centre of the pitch one at a time. once all balls are removed hold the session. Team with the most balls wins

Players then return balls to the centre, again one at a time. First team back wins

Warm up 2

Repeat again, this time make players bend down with the knees properly and run backwards where appropriate.

- has anyone bumped into each other? this will be because a player as went before his team mate is back.

Warm up 3

Now do it with dribbling the balls.

find the balls (5 mins)

This one is for fun.

At the point where all the balls are out the middle and game is stopped.

Players can all go at once, for 60 seconds to get as much balls from anywhere the want back to there box/square.

after 60 seconds, stop. return balls your touching and count who wins.

3 v 1 overload (10 mins)

Executing passes when overloaded up top.

Split pitch into two halves.

Each half has one defender and 3 strikers.

defenders cant be tackled but can tackle. the defneders play the ball into the attacking players who have to try and score with a minimum of 1 pass. the other team gains possession.

After a goal is scored or the ball goes out of play, coach plays another ball in to other team
