1v1 with restricted defender. Defender can only tackle in shaded zone. Defender starts play by playing out to attacker who now dribbles towards defender, watch for stitch up passes! Can have attacker start with ball, but then have to [police when they leave (they will go before defender gets into zone properly) . Attacker has to keep ball moving and must keep moving forward, can't turn back. Defender can't back into space behind tackle zone until ball has passed into that zone! Attacker is looking to dribble under control through either 2 gates in bigger space behind defender to get a point.
Progression : allow defender to dribble ball back to tackle zone for a point if they win possession
Instruction points :
- dribbling on 1st touch
- create space to attack into & unbalance defender (angled dribbling)
- small, pigeon-toed touches on approach, bigger touch to speed up and penetrate
- dribble ball on safe side when possible
- see the SPACE
- attack with SPEED

4v4 end zone game. Have to dribble under control to score a point. Instructor should feed ball in for restarts, at least for beginning portion. This allows instructor to play to players in a position to take players on 1v1 & attack space behind. Can also match up players (players 1 on red & blue, players 2 on red & blue etc) based on ability and allow only those players to tackle each other, creating more opportunities to dribble at players.
Instruction points :
- smaller touches in traffic, bigger touch to go past a player into space
- be aggressive in moments where 1v1 and can attack end zone
- players off ball should be open & receive on back foot to face forward (1st touch invades)
- change speeds to off balance defender, not just go past them (freeze defender)

Technical (20 mins)
Technical. Change of speed invasive dribbling. 3 groups of players all on the ball. 2 groups in bigger end zone areas and one group locked in the middle zone. Players in end zone look to accelerate into opposite end zone at appropriate moments. All players have to keep the all moving at all times. Switch roles after a minute or 2 to make sure all teams be in the middle.
Progression 1 : team in the middle without a ball now. Points scored for successful invasion of other end zone : 1 point for going around outside, 2 points for invading between defenders. Lose a point if crashing into opposide players or defenders poke ball away.
Progression 2 : 2 teams have 1 ball for each group. Passing & moving in an end zone until one player can penetrate off dribble to other side. Have to pass back to team mates to restart (support touched on here). Points for each time successful - 1 for going outside, 2 for penetrating in between defenders.
Instruction points :
- see the SPACE (recognize moments to accelerate to opposite side & avoid others)
- small, pigeon-toed touches to allow for eyes up off ball
- slightly larger touch to penetrate through middle zone (almost or big enough to pass through space)
- players off the ball in passing progression : open body shape & scanning
