Players to play 4v3 with a GK.
Attacking principles
The practice allows players to be creative in trying to break down a 3 man defence. Players will have plenty of repetition of the scenario to allow them to experience the same situations on multiple occasions from multiple positions.
Defending Principles
The practice allows players to get used to working as a unit, when to press, when to cover and improving their angles and distances of cover. Communication is also key as the GK has the opportunity to be a voice and eyes for his back four. Improving his quality

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organisation 2
The practice is a rotational practice where the red team will follow their attack and rest behind the left goal as shown while the defending team will always defend the same goal meaning the black team also take their rest beside the left goal. This will enable all 3 attacking teams attack the two different defending teams alternatively.
Key points to consider
- The rotation of players
- work to rest ratios of players i.e defenders (
- Attackers working on a 1:2 work to rest ratio, Defenders a 1:1 work to rest ratio
Modifications/ changes possibilities
- Limit number of passes to score
- Time limit to score
- Add in an extra defender (4v4 with GK's) attacking team can use GK to recycle possession
