Create and Exploit Overload 1-4-3-3 v 1-3-4-1-2
Coached team (Blue) Players used: GK, RB, LB, CDM, RCM, LCM, RW, LW, ST
Opposition Team (Red) Players Used: GK, RCB, CB, LCB, RM, RCM, LCM, LM, CAM
Function:
Blue team will look to breakdown the red team defence by creating overloads and exploiting them.
Red team will look to defend and counter to score in the two mini nets situated on the halfway line.
Challenges:
Problem 1: The defending team will look to apply pressure on the ball without compromising their block and shape. The back 3 are to stay within 20 yards of one another and the midfield unit are to stay within 30 yards of each other with a distance of 10 yards between the three units.
Solution 1: A wide rotation to create a 3v2 when the ball is on the opposite side of the pitch with the fullback after receiving with the goalkeeper or recapturing possession and combining can the midfielder on the opposite side come to fullbacks position, can the full back go to where the winger was and can the winger invert between the wide centre back and the central centre back. the ball will switch play through the goalkeeper to the midfielder in the fullback position to combine between the two plays to get in behind the defence line. to play the ball across the six yard box for the striker on the front post winger at the back post and the furthest centre mid at the edge of the box for a cutback.
Problem 2: The defending team now look to go more aggressive and press the team more aggressively with the opposition CM following the coached teams rotating CM into a wide position to prevent the overload in the wide area and create 3v3.
Solution 2: Can the Striker drop into midfield to create a 3v2 to drive forward and play into the wingers who are in a narrow position to create a chance on goal. and we use the full back to split the midfielders through a pass or find the goalkeeper to play to the spare man
