Key Factors
Organisation
First 5 passes play into the LWB If the space is in the wide areas. - coach then working on the aspects of covering 5 zones and being active in all zones and creating wide overloads. Looking to use 1v1 outwide to beat the player.
Second block 5 passes CM look to drive forward with the ball - Look for 1 of the number 10's to drop in on the outside of the two CM to create an overload. Can they then take it on the back foot and drive at the defence With Runs from the WB in behind and from the 9 looking to pin their CB. OR if the CB follows the N.10 deep the ball clipped over the defence into the channel is on to the 9 who needs to make the Run.
Third Block 5 Passes (Blues switch to 4 at the back with 3 in MFD). The passes from Red will look to play these balls into the RWB and repeat work from the left hand side on the right (covering the 5 zones and can the near side 10 and WB create a 2v1 on the fullback with the N.6 giving them security). The What ifs we cannot play through this way - can we get back to central CM and switch out to the wingback open on the far side. When they move to a three player midfield if their CM press up without their back line pushing up with it the gap to spilt them into one of the 10's will open up.
Fourth Block 5 Passes CM has freedom to play where she wishes too and Coach will no work on each attack correct errors made.
Challenges Red Team:
- When the ball gets wide can we have 4 players attacking the box.
- Wingbacks How many times can you beat your opposite player 1v1. (Success Rate)
- CM How many switches of play can you get?
- N.9 Shot converstion rate?
Progression Challenges:
- If we Lose the ball can we win it back in 6 seconds?
