Set up

Set up an area - circle or square
Group players in pair
All players have a ball

Game

Yellows try to chase the blues
Yellows win a point if they can stop their ball in the players shadow
Switch chasers every few minutes
Switch pairings regularly

Progressions

Players being chased don't have a ball
If there is no shaodwd (ie indoors) then chasing player has to tag their partner on the shoulder

Play without footballs

Coaching points to discuss

Change of speed / direction
Quick feet
Using both feet
Using different parts of their feet
Head up

Think STEP

Space - do you need to make it larger (easier) or smaller (more challenging)
Task - can you change the task or challenge?
