Session Organization:

Stations: 2v2 Game, Small Sided Game, Dribbling, Passing

- Players rotate every 12-15 minutes

- NO stepping in and stopping the sessions to make coaching points. The coaching methodology should be the use of coaching in the flow or coaching the individual.

Screen 2

STATION A:

Set-up: 2v2 Small Sided Game

- 16x16 yards or 20x20 yards

- Adapt for age/ability/numbers

- Make two teams

Instructions:

- On coaches call ("red or "yellow) 2 players for each team must react, touch the color cone, then run around their net. Coach will pass the ball out into play. It becomes a 2v2 game where the players can score in either of the two nets. If a team wins the ball back they then attack opponents goal.

STATION B:

Set-up: Small Sided Game

- Make two teams of equal numbers (3v3/4v4/5v5). If you have odd numbers than create a neutral player who will float and play for whichever team has possession of the ball.

- If a ball goes out of play whcihever team it goes off of last then you roll another ball into the opposite team

Instructions:

- Teams can score by either scoring a goal in the middle goal = 1 goal or running the ball through one of the two side coned goals = 2 goals

STATION C:

Set-up: Dribbling/Ball Mastery

- Players working in pairs

- Cones approx. 8-10 yards apart to maxmize more touches and time on the ball

- Players will work the ball from cone to cone by dribbling and working on fundeamentla movementsand change of direction moves

Instructions/Ideas:

1. Movements that promote physical literacy - skip there and back, run there and back, run there and backpeddle backwards, side shuffle etc..

2. Ball mastery - toe taps, sole rolls, Inside touches (ball boxing), inside-outside, step -touch, outside touches, stop -start,

3. COD Moves - inside cut, outside cut, u-turn, pull back, step on,

STATION D:

Set-up : Passing (Jack in the Box)

- 2-3 teams of 3-4 players

- 3 goals 10 yards away from cone bhind which 3 players from each teasm stand

- 1 player (Jack) stand behind the goal

Instructions:

- Player realeases the jack in the box by scoring 1 goal each by passing the ball into the goal from the cone.

- When a goal is scored, that player goes behind the goal.

- When all players are behind the goal the Jack in the box must score the final goal to win.

Progression: Move cone further away after each round, team that loses, cone moves further back .
