Centre player receives whilst keeping length
*use arms to stay close to mannekin while keeping ball moving
Wait for passers run to get within 5m i.e. get used to holding the ball up
*passer to arc run and not over run
After return pass C arcs his run - use cone to adjust - whilst A takes a touch to set up pass 5.
C then passes in to B.
Rotation : A becomes receiver at other side of mannekin
B is new passer. C joins B queue.
Progression : pass and runs on opposite sides.

C receives and holds up as before but return pass is deeper and wider.
C then deepens and opens body up to rx pass 4, takes touch/dribble to delay pass 6 until A has run forward to rx.
Rotation as before - next play comes from opposite end.
Progression 1 : A receives pass 2 and dribbles forward passing direct to B.
Progression 2 : allow A and C to decide how to combine to get the ball to B
*players must communicate, use signals to show where passes should go.

Make it competitive by replacing the mannekin with a real defender and add goals. Allow attackers to decide how they attack - ie C may turn the defender on occasion - keeps it realistic - but encourage the hold up under pressure and layoff.
*1st defender priority is to not allow C to turn you.
*coach use of arms to 'feel' defender
Rotation : 4/8 balls for red to attack, then swap for blues to attack with 4/8 balls.

A4 makes run into last third - beyond pole.
A1 plays pass for A4 to hold up as R1 comes to defend.
A4 calls for support from A3 or A2 who approaches to receive a pass between half way and pole.
The opposite red defender R3 above is now active to make 2v2. Both teams try to score.
If a goal is scored that team keeps possession - ie continues serving from base line.
Loss of possession results in other team serving.
*encourage receiving player to maintain length
*encourage defending team to communicate - 1st defender - hold - tackle - left - right etc
Progression : allow defending team to decide who becomes 2nd defender.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
4v4 or 5v5 Target man game.
Only 1v1 in scoring zone unless target man lays off to another player to make 2v1 - only 1 defender allowed in scoring zone. Players may roam free at other times.
