Pickle Tag

To start of you will need to create three or four squares as safe zones.

Have two players start of as the defenders, in the diagram these players are blue. In your session have them hold a pinnie or a cone.

To start the game the coach shouts "Go". The players have to leave their safe zone and try to get to another without being tagged by the defenders. If they get tagged the defender must drop the cone or pinnie in their hand and quickly get to one of the safe zones. The person who was tagged now assumes the role of the tagger.

Pickle Tag with Ball

Same game as original Pickle tag but now he players have to dribble with a soccer ball from their safe zone and try to get to another without the defender touching their soccer ball. If their soccer ball gets touched the tagger must drop the cone or pinnie, get the soccer ball and dribble the soccer ball into one of the safe zones. The person who lost their soccer ball must pick up the pinnie/cone and takes on the role of the defender.

•Can we dribble with the correct part of our foot?

•If a defender is coming can we change direction quickly?

•If defender is not near can we take big touches to get into safe zone quickly
