7v6 to 2 Goals -Blue team:#1 #2, #4, #6, #7, #10 & #9 - Red team : #3, #4, #5, #8, #10 & #11. The Blue team plays to build up their attack on right flank before scoring. If the red team regains possession they can go to goal by playing direct style of play.
Coaching points:
Disguised pass: dribble at the defender at speed when is he/she commited use outside of the dribbling foot to pass the ball, Anckle locked, toe down step into the ball as you passing. Combinations plays ( give and go, overlap or 3rd man run .with #2,8 # 7. Various range of passes to un-balance defenders, Driven pass. Angle of approach off center. Head up to observe target. 8v8 to 2 Goals - Blue team formation: 1-2-3-2 (#1, #2, #3, #7, #8, #9, #10 & #11) Red team formation: 1-2-4-1 (#1, #2, #3, #6, #7, #8, #9 & #11). The blue team uses their flank players to build up the attack to get forward to score. Red team plays direct style.
Coaching points:
#2 or #3 run forward with or with out the ball when space is available wide and/or behind defenders. Combinations play from #2 and 3 with #8 and #7and #11. Overlap runs with #7 , give and go with #8 and 10.Timing of the pass, and angle of support, type of pass: disguised, driven..... 3 players combination with # 8, 7 and 2. Coaching points:
