Description
Passing and receiving drill encompassing playing out from the back
A is a left back B = GK C= Right back and D= CM
Player to follow their passes.
Play until pattern of play is understood then reverse

Objective
To develop ball control, feints and dribbling.
Description
This set up is called "The Star".
Four players start at the same time from all four sides of the star, they bribble in and out all the cones. As they approach the mannequin the players execute a move/feint then take the ball to the right and change their side.
Every 2 minutes the coach will change:
- The dribble sequence- i.e. dribbling in and out every 2 cones etc.
- Technique - inside feet only, outside feet only etc.
- Type of move feint
- Change the direction from anti-clockwise to clockwise
Coaching Points
1- Keep the ball close to the feet
2- Make many touches with the ball
3- Soft feel with the ball
4- Move/feint - exaggerate the move to faking to go one and go the other side

Description: Running with the ball & dribbling
Pitch size 15 x 20yds (20 includes 2 x 5yd areas).
1 - Start in groups and (a) RWTB across to group on opposite side (b) RWTB to a different group than the one directly opposite - changing direction.
2 - Reds start in possession and aim to RWTB from one zone to another (one player at a time) on reach the opposite zone they release a player. 1 blue player acts as a defender in central area if he wins possession the teams change roles, with the player losing possession becoming the defender.
Options for the red team:
1 - Can they move up and down the end zone to create the space to RWTB?
2 - If they are blocked by the defender they can (i) use a 1v1 move (ii) turn back and release the other player. In above diagram A reaches end zone and B RWTB, the defender blocks therefore B turns and releases A.
Technical: First touch is critical, positive and at pace, dribbling/RWTB technique.
Tactical: Decision of when to run with the ball, movement/decision to create opportunity to RWTB.
Physical: Changes of speed, speed.
Psychological/Social: Communication, working as a team.

Learning Objectives
To develop dribbling and running with the ball (RWTB)
Description
In a field of 40x30 yards, there are 6 goals (3 red and 3 white).
The objective is to score in any of the goals by dribbling/running with the ball through the gates and then stopping it.
For the first 12 minutes, players can enter an all the gates. In the final 12 minutes, the coach will call out the colour where both teams can score, changing it every time he deems appropriate.
Coaching points
1- Play and think quickly
2- Create space, losing your marker to receive the pass
3- Try to do a different feint/move every time to get away from your marker
