GREAT 2 DRILL PRACTICE TO INCREASE UNDERSTANDING OF PASSING/RECEIVING/MOVEMENT
FROM TIKI TAKA/FUTSAL BASED SESSIONS
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
The drill starts off with player on the left passing through the manequins to his team mate on the opposite side.....once he has passed it, he will follow his pass on the outside of the cones (if 2 lines of players....if in groups of 2 he would stay there)
KEY POINT - increase the accuracy of passing, the ball must be passed into the path of the player opposite through the manequins.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
As the player recieves it, he must open his body and use his 1st touch to play it away from either manequin (depending on his strong foot, most players will go right) the 1st touch is crucial and the reason the cones are there will be explained. The cones are a passing lane, so the 1st touch ideally should be used to cushion the ball into the passing lane accordinly! once the 1st touch is out of the manequin and into the passing lane, he will pass it through the manequins to the opposite player......and the drill will continue as such

TIKI TAKA PASSING
The main principle for this session is to follow the YOUR PASS! as this is a difficult drill to pick up.....but once the kids have the hang of it.....it teaches passing appreciation, movement, communication, feints and checking of shoulder.
Organisation
Minimum of 9 players, If you have more than 8 & less than 18, line rest of players up behind player A
4 players on cones outside, 4 players standing on each manequin in the middle
1 ball, with a few at the ready
PLAYER is the starting point
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
START OF DRILL 1ST QUARTER
Player A passes to B.......and follows his run.
Player B then passes to player C......and follows his run
Player C waits for the right time to pass to player D, and waits for traffic to clear to make his run
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
2ND QUARTER
Player D will now be in possession of the ball.... and some rotations would have taken place as per diagram above. The same sequence will occur but in the different part of the pitch
Player D will pass to E and follow the pass
Player E will pass to A and follow the pass
Player A will pass to F and follow the pass
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
3rd Quarter
Again, the same sequence has allowed the same rotation to happen, as above diagram shows
Player F will now have the ball and start the 3rd sequence
