Key Factors

  • 3v1 - attackers on the outside of the square, the defender in the middle.
  • Attackers have to keep possession by passing through the square to the other players.'
  • The attackers can move to the 'spare' side to create a triangle for the attacker on the ball.
  • As soon as the defender wins it they swap out.

Organisation

  • Get the players into groups of 4 and with 4 cones get them to set up a 4mx4m square.

  • 4v4 on each pitch.
  • But every time the ball goes dead, you go back to your goal and decide how many players to send out, not knowing how many the other team are sending out so it is a surprise.
  • If you score in an underload situation you get two goals for your team.

Organisation

  • Two x 24mx15m pitches.
  • Goal either end of each pitch.
  • 8 players on each pitch - split into two teams of 4.
