Create a 50 x 60yd (Halfway Line) Playing Area. 7v7. Include Goalkeepers. Use different formations for each team. White - 1-2-3-1, and Black - 1-3-2-1. Place extra balls near both goals for easy access for restarts. One team wears white bibs, opposing team wears black bibs. GK for White wears a Red Bib, and GK for Black wears a Green Bib. Set up 2 goals at each end as the targets.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Try to score more goals than the opposing team in the alotted game time. Any ball out of play restarts with a goal kick in from the closest GK. No Offsides. Introduction of theme - Width / Depth and Pentration from Zone 1 (Playing out from the back). GK can use both feet and hands to distribute the ball but it must be on the ground. Have GK look to play a FB as a primary option, or look for the CM as a secondary option. CB should support the ball and teammates when the ball travels.
COACHING POINTS:

Create Width and Depth as soon as we gain possession.
Angle and Distance of suppporting players closest to ball and away from the ball.
Speed of Play- , 1st touch decision - see the picture in front of you early - scan
Movement off the ball - as / when the ball travels - create space and passing lanes
Player on the ball needs to look to penetrate - decide if to dribble if its there, or pass if its on.

ORGANIZATION
Work in Zone 1 and 2. Half Pitch area 50yrd x 60yrd, eliminate one flank and other half of field as shown by shaded areas. One large goal in Zone 1 with a GK. Spare balls beside assistant coach in shaded flank for them to serve balls into GK for restarts. Set up a 4yrd gate with cones at the halfway line, on the left flank. Set up two teams. 7 players wearing black bibs with 1 GK wearing red bib, playing in a 1-3-3-1 formation. The other team will have 6 players in white bibs playing in a 2-3-1 formation.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Ast. Coach will play a ball into the GK. GK will look to distribute to the FB (Primary Option) or CB (Secondary Option) in Zone 1. As ball travels, team moves to create space and to open passing channels and options. FB recieves ball and looks to play the ball to CM as a primary option, and the LM as a secondary option in order to break the first line of confrontation / defence / pressure and enter into Zone 2. Once CM recieves the ball, they can play it to LM as the primary option or seek the striker as a secondary option to then start to progress to Zone 3. Encourage FB, CM and CB to move out into space and then show to receive the ball from the GK. Can the FB, CM or CB receive the ball and drive forward via dribble and break a line quickly? Request LM to position themsleves in Zone 1 to receive the ball and distribute to the CM in or ST in Zone 2. GK can play directly to the striker in Zone 2, if no other options available. Balls out of play are restarted by Ast.Coach. White team tries to regain possession and score on large goal. Black team tries dribble ball through the Blue gates into Zone 3, to score a goal. Black striker can only play in the half circle (D) in Zone 2, as a passing option.
COACHING POINTS:
Striker to provide the depth, and FB and LM to provide width as soon as we gain posession
When the GK has ball that is the cue for the FB & CB to split to the edge of 18 yard box or wider.
While the FB & CB split can the CM show for the ball and drive forward if and after receiving the pass?
Players moving off the ball should create space and passing lanes. Travel as the ball travels.
Passing - Pace of Pass, Part of Foot, Distacne of pass and timing
Supporting play - ensure CM, LM, CB provide proper distance and angles to support player with ball
Read your teammates eyes, body mechanics and plant foot - cues
Speed of Play - All players should scan field for a better first touch decision
