Set Up: Length is just over half the field; width is set from touchline to just inside the far side of the 18-yard box. One large goal; two mini goals at half. Supply of balls between the mini goals.
Players: 12-14 players. Primarily working with 2, 7, 9, 8, 10 (blue) and 4,5, 3, 6, 8 (red).
Description: 5v5 with a GK and a server (s). Play starts with the server playing out to blue. Blue look to attack the large goal by focusing on fullback play - when to overlap/when to underlap. Red can win the ball back and score on either of the two mini goals.
Key Factors:
1. Quality of first touch/pass.
2. Timing of the run.
3. Visual cues: #6 or 8 opening up to play forward; #9 receiving to feet; #7 supporting angle/distance from touchline.
4. Communication.
5. Look for combination play opportunities.

Set Up: Half field at North Park. Balls along the outside and in the goals.
Players: 2 teams - 9 outfield and 1 goalkeeper for each team on field. Players manage any substitutions.
Description: Play 10v10 (including GK). All regular rules apply, including retreat line. Each team plays 1-4-3-2.
Key Factors:
All coaching points from the session - focus on first touch away from pressure and that first look. Good overall shape - looking to play in between the lines. Lots of communication! Focus on width and getting the FB involved in the play up field.

6 Goal Game (20 mins)
Set Up: 20*20 grid. Six mini goals - three on each end line. Supply of balls on the outside.
Players: 6-8 (can adjust to numbers).
Description: 3v3. Either team can attack any of the three opposition goals. Double the points for scoring on the wide goals.
Progression:
Remove central goal and add a larger goal with a GK.
Award extra points for combination plays.
Key Factors:
Proper angles and distance of support.
Open up - pass to back foot.
As ball moves - wide players provide width (disperal front and back).
Patience on the ball.
Recognize when to penetrate - through, around or over. If not, then look to switch the play.
