4v4 + Neutral Player - Speed of Play
Organization: 9 players; 24x24 yard area (12x12 sections), 7x7 yard center square
Instructions: The Red and Blue team will play possession within the area, having only one teammate per section at a time. Teams score a goal by playing ball into the Neutral Player and receiving it back (must stay within center box).
***Progression - Place Target Players/Goals at the ends of the area. Teams can score by passing ball into the Target Player/Goal after finding the Neutral Player.
***Progression - limit Neutral Player/Target Players to two touches
Coaching Points: 1. Speed of play is rapid; 2. Body Shape; 3. Quality first touch; 4. Head must be up; 5. Accuracy/Weight of passing

5v5 to Two Goals
Organization: 10-12 players; 20x35 yards middle area, 10x12 yards in 1v1 sections
Instructions: In the middle area of the field, the Red & Blue team will play 3v3 possession. When on the attack, the team in possession will try to get the ball into one of the opponent's 1v1 area, then will look to score on goal.
Coaching Points: 1. Speed of play must be quick; 2. Look to change the Point of Attack; 3. Quick decision-making

Warm-Up: Improving Transition Speed
Organization: Groups of 4; 15-20 yard distance; 1 ball per group
Instructions: Player A will dribble the ball forward while Player B back peddles alongside. When Player A reaches the end, the waiting Player B will take over and begin dribbling while Player A quickly transitions and begins to back peddle. Activity is repeated.
Coaching Points: 1. Must be mentally focused & "turned on" to do drill successfully; 2. Transition must be done quickly (back peddle); 3. Speed of play; 4. Close control of ball
