Organization:
- Attackers with ball per player.
- Two defenders.
- Two mini goals.
Instructions:
- Attackers dribble ball within area.
- Two defenders look to steal ball from attackers and score on mini goals/gates for one point.
- If ball is stolen, attackers can look to steal back from defender until goal is scored. Once goal is scored attacker collects ball and completes 10 toe taps at side of field before rejoining the area.
- 90 second round then change roles.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Switch feet depending on angle of defenders pressure.
- Identify opportunities to break away from pressure - type of touch required?
- "How can you prevent the defender recovering and stealing the ball?"
Regressions/Progressions:

Progressions:
- Once defender steals your ball and scores, leave your ball in the goal and grab pinnie from coach to become a new defender.
- Last player remaining in possession of their ball wins round.

Progressions:
- Attackers in two's, ball per pair.
- Defenders look to steal ball from a pairing now. If goal is scored on a pairing, both become defenders. Final pairing win the round.

Organization:
- Multiple fields fields set up depending on numbers.
- 3v3 on each field.
- One ball per field.
Instructions:
- Attacking team looks to to penetrate opposition teams end zone via pass or dribble. 1 point awarded if successful.
- Once that attacking player is in the end zone, if they are able to maintain possession and pass to a team mate who has joined them in the end zone, a total of 5 points are awarded.
- Ball restarts with opposition team who look to complete same sequence at other end.
- 2 min games then rotate teams.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Awareness of opponents and team mates. Keep your head up and ball moving while doing so.
- Shield the ball until you can identify the most effective way to penetrate - pass, dribble or shoot.
- Attacking mentality - create supporting angle in opposition half/end zone as quickly as possible.

Organization:
-3 teams of 2 players.
-Mini goals
Instructions:
-2v2 rotating teams.
-First team to two goals, or two minute games. If tied, team on longest comes off.
-Dribble in or pass in on restarts.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Emphasis on maintaining possession (individually or as a team) when under pressure.
- "What are your challenges in keeping possesion in a more game like environment?"
- "What can we do to overcome these challenges?"

R: Increase the size of the goals.

Introduction (30 mins)
Organization:
- Players in pairs.
- One ball per pair.
Instructions:
- Players pass and move around area. On coaches call of "Battle" the player with the ball looks to maintain possession, while partner looks to steal. If player in possession is able to hold onto ball until coach calls "freeze" they are awarded 1 point. If partner is able to steal ball and keep possession, they are awarded 3 points. Play for 10-20 seconds before shouting freeze.
- Play 2 min rounds, with players keeping score after each freeze moment. Change partners for each round. Players should be partnered up with team mate of similar ability.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Encourage players to keep the ball in motion at all times. Don't let the ball rest.
- "Assess you surroundings - do you have the option to take on your defender, or do you need to protect the ball?"
- Keep your body between the defender and the ball, with the foot furthest away from the defender in contact with the ball.
- Low body shape, with arm out to feel for defender.
