Playing out from the back - diamond (30 mins)

Organisation - Session focus is on playing out from the back - building up different patterns of play to get out & trying to cover the what ifs. Will only coach one of the teams.Attackers to drop just inside the middle area so they have space to run into when the diamond look to play forwards.

Coached team - 2 diamond 2 formation

Managed team - 2 3 1 2 formation

Organisation - Pattern 2

When GK of coached team has the ball, the managed team must have their players drop into the middle area as they would in the game.Attackers to drop just inside the middle area so they have space to run into when the diamond look to play forwards.

1 - 2 defenders to pull out as wide as possible but to stay deep.

2 - Playmaker drop inbetween their 2 attackers to disguise the pass into RD or LD

3 - RD or LD ( playmakers run makes this decision ) take defender away to receive to feet

4 - Little pass inside to Tag team partner

5 - Timing is key with movement - pass into space for partner to receive

6 - Spin off into space - end product? Shot , Pass , Cross
