The defender (D1) dribbles to the second penalty mark (10+ yards away from goal) and takes a shot on the goalkeeper.

After the D1 shoots, he/she immediately receives a pass from player #1 and passes the ball to player #2. The two red players attempt to beat the defender and shoot on goal. You could disregard the pass into the defender and have player #1 and #2 attack the goal immediately after the defender shoots.

If the defender wins the ball, the play is over. To make the game more realistic, you could have the defender attack counter goals or pass the ball to the next defender (D2).

The attacking team (red) attempts to keep possession and make 5 consecutive passes against 3 defenders (white). If the defenders win the ball, they transiton to the attack and try to score on the goal. The 2 red players inside the grid are only allowed to defend when the ball is lost, giving the white team a numerical advantage.

Depending on the skill level of your players, you may want to start 4v2 to 2v1+GK. You can also include the GK to help the attacking team keep possession of the ball.

Note: The coach should have plenty of balls ready. The game starts with the coach serving the ball to the red team. If the ball goes past one of the players on the outside of the grid, the coach serves the ball to the white team.
