Specific Practice
Players - 7v8 15 Players
Out - GK, x3 CB, CDM, x2 CM
In - RWB, LWB, x2 CM, LW, RW, CAM, ST
Problem 1 - Reds are switching play to come inside and play through
Solution 1 - Let the reds have possession outwide, blue CDM and x2 CM are agressive in man marking the red x2 CM and CAM. CB can step in to help create a central defensive overload, thus protecting the middle. Reds unable to play through when switched to the inside
Problem 2 - Red 10 drifts and begins to pin wide CB's. Look to either pull into the central area to create space in the wide areas or look to create a wide overload. Red will frequently switch play to the wide areas
Solution 2 - Blue Full-back, CDM & x2 CM man mark and press red wing-back, winger and x2 CM to force play wide and lock down play wide.
