SII Expanded Small Sided Activity "Passing Pattens to Goal"

-Half Field with three cones and three poles to act as defensive players

-Balls start on the top of the three cones

-1,2,3,4 lays it off for center player who shoots

Progression:

-The two other players Offensive players are now involved

-B makes an overlap after pass

-C makes a diagonal run btwn CBs(Poles)

-A makes a wall pass with D and has three options

---1)Shoot (A Shoots)

---2)Dummy for B (B Shoots)

---3)Play it across the goal to C (C Shoots)

-Whoever shoots, becomes D

Stage II Small Sided Activity Kill, Cross, Finish (10 mins)

Stage II Small Sided Activity "Kill, Cross, Finish"

-Incorporates three different aspects of goalscoring

-Killer pass from CM back in behind CBs to forward, Cross from Wide player, finishing from top the box 

- Seven different starting positions labeled A-G

-A, B, and C combine with C playing a diagonal ball splitting the CBs, for on-running D who finishes in no more then two touches

-As soon as D shoots, E and F combine in an overlap where E crosses the ball into crashing players, A,B,C,D

-After second finish from the cross, player G plays in a driven ball to player F who has recycled her run and hits it one time

Coaching Points:

-Everything is done at full-speed to put pressure on the cross to come in early and to challenge Players A, B, and C to get into the box early

-The quality of the passes and crosses must be high. Speed of play is important but quality of play is vital!
