Coach to improve switching play in create/build up phase and final third.
Equipment:
Footballs, mini-goals/big goal, flat markers, multiple coloured bibs, whistles and stopwatch.
Duration: 20 minutes
- 10 minutes = Specific Practice
- 10 minutes = SSG

- 18 players

Scoring System:
Team captains/Assistant coach will keep a record on scores in Specific Practice.
- Blue team switches the ball from one end channel to the other in create phase, they get a point.
- Blue team switches the ball from one end channel to the other in final third (1-point) followed by phase of play inside again to score a goal, they get 3 points.
- Red team on winning the ball get 1 point. Followed by a goal in either mini-goals will get them 3 points.
Coaching Points:Coach the team in relation to pitch geography; position specification to the formation; In, away, around the ball situation.
In Possession Team (BLUE) [Coaching]- Mobility to support/angle to support the teammate in possession of the ball.
- Use of width/depth of the pitch
- Play through, around / over the opposition
- Defensive balance
- Technical details around Passing (weight, direction, etc.)
- Overload to isolate - draw the opposition in to one area of the pitch to create space for a switch of play
