WHO: # 7,9,10,11,8 and #6 .
WHERE: In the Attacking side off the field.
WHEN: We just lost possession of the ball.
WHY: To stop the opponent to play quickly and penetrate our side of the field .
WHAT: Technique of Individual Defending, Tackling, recovery runs, Pressure, Delay, Cover, Balance, Compactness control and Restraint, communication.
HOW: Transition to defend, will to defend, speed and angle of approach to pressure, distance of approach to delay. Poke and block tackle, recovery run to support 1st defender or toward the goal for compactness and balance.

Organization:
Area: 60Wx70L field with two goals 9v7 to 2 Goals:Blue team #1,#2 #3 #10, #6, #8, #7, #9, #11 - Opposition team (White): #1, #2, #3, #5, #6, #8, #9. Play to score in the opponent's goal. The blue team will try to score in the red goal, if the blues loses the ball they must stop the counter attack and regain the ball back within 8 seconds they get an extra point. If red win the ball and scores within 10 seconds they get 3 points only one after 8 seconds. Play with offside rule.
Coaching points:
If the ball is lost in the wide area 1st defender press the ball immediatly and force attacker to the touch line or backword, delay until 2nd defender (COVER) is available. All other players RECOVER toward the goal to create COMPACTNESS.Block tackle:get side on, place supporting foot next to the ball by stepping forward. Angle locked with toe pointed up, tackle with the foot moving away from the player with the inside of the foot, drive through the center of the ball. Tackle using your full body weight so the ball goes in the same direction as you.

9v9 to Goal - Blue team 1-2-3-3: #1,#4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11. Red team: 1-3-2-3 (#1, #2, #3, #4, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11).
Coaching points:
If the ball is lost in the middle area off the field, get some COMPACTNESS by 1st defender delaying 1st attacker to CONTROL and RESTRAINT and quickly create an arrow shape with 2nd defender for COVER in front of the ball to deny the penetration, then engaged. Wide players continues their RECOVERY behind the ball and BALANCE the wide area.

Coaching points:
The five W and the HOW, individual technique of defending , PRESSURE( angle, speed of approach), tackle( POKE, BLOCK). Appropriate technique for appropriate situation. Prniciple of defense COVER , BALANCE , COMPACTNESS, CONTOL and RESTRAINT.

Organization:
Area: 25Wx40L grid with 1 small goal at each end.5v4 to Goal both teams play to goal.Blue team need to have all their playersbut #8 in the attacking half to scoreand defend 3 goals.. When the red team win the ball, they will try to score before the blue team has all its players behind the half area line.
Coaching points:
Defender closest to the ball apply PRESSURE: attitude to win the ball, close quickly, angle of approach is to the side to make play predictable and isolate attacker, slow down as getting close, bend your knees, stay side way on and prepare for next action, delay(wait for support) or tackle(gain possession and transition).COVER: If you cant get to the ball to press then drop and cut penetration into the passing channel. Poke tackle: approach side way, use foot closest to the ball, lock anckle, body weight on the back foot, poke the ball in the diagonal to regain possession, poke when a bigger touch as been taken. 2nd defender will provide immediate COVER to 1st defender and stop penetration if necessary, while third defender will BALANCE the all group and make a RECOVERY run toward the goal.
