This session is designed to improve our technical ability.

Objective: futsal specific warm-up.
Set-up: first 3 cones are 5 yards part. 4th cone is 2 yards. 5th cone is another 2 yards.

Objective: improve our individual ball mastery.
Organization: 4 cones with diamond in the middle. One or more players on each cone with a ball.
Instructions: players perform skill to the diamond + move at the diamond to change direction + skill to return to cone (or pass back if another players is waiting.
Skills Between Cones: (1) boxing, (2) fast outside of the foot dribbling lots of soft touches, (3) forward sole roll, (4) sideways sole roll, (5) inside outside, (6) inside/outside patterns (for example outside, outside, inside) etc...
Skills At The Diamond (back to same cone): (1) pull back, (2) Cryuff with sole, (3) 1/2 Maradona, (4) sole turn, (5) L turn etc...
Skills At The Diamond (go to the next cone to the right or left): (1) roll, (2) Cruyff, (3) scissors, (4) stepover, (5) V move inside of foot, (6) V move outside of foot etc..
Skills Returning To Cone: (1) pull back, (2) sole turn, (3) Cryuff, (4) 1/2 Maradona, (5) L turn, (6) pass back, (7) wall pass, (8) scoop.
Coaching Points: (1) soft touches, (2) speed, (3) eyes up, (4) proper technique

Objective: to improve our passing and receiving
Organization: players are in pairs with one ball.
Instructions: players pass back and forth as instructed.
Variations: (1) one touch, (2) two touch receive with sole, (3) 3 touch receive with sole, roll right, roll left and pass, (4) receive it + sole delay + directional touch then pass it back, (5) two touch one bounce low scoop to partner, (6) two touch no bounce low scoop to partner, (7) cross court scoops.

Objective: introduce the players to the game of futsal.
Organization: 1 court with 2 small sided goals. 6 players. Coach has the balls makes sure new ball is constantly in play.
Instructions: players play 2v2 with no goalkeepers.
Coaching Points
1. Introduce the simple rules like kick ins. 2. Focus on control of the ball and control of body. 3. Use the sole. 4. Find the space.

Objective: improve finishing
Organization: coaching passing the ball to player finishing
Instructions: coach plays the ball, player receives it with sole on the move, dribbles at left or right cone, executes moves and finishes.
Variations: (1) dribble at right cone, sole roll with right foot into the triangle, outside of the foot touch through triangle, finish. Unlimited variations. Finishing with both laces, inside of foot, and toe.
Coaching Points: (1) teach different finishing techniques.

Activation - Pick-Up (10 mins)
Objective: to activate the players mentally and physically.
Organization: Goals set-up on court. Training vest and balls ready.
Instructions: as players arrive at training they are placed on teams.
Coaching Points: this is a time for the players to just play. Coaches should keep things organized, help players get on teams, make small adjustments, but for the most part let the players play.
