Technical - Passing and Receiving
Objective:
Enhance technical skills, passing and receiving proficiency, promote intelligent movement to receive, and emphasize proper body positioning.
Setup:
Divide players into two groups, each following a passing sequence (1, 2, 3, 4). Player 4 concludes by driving the ball through a gate. On the return, players pass through a skill zone for extra technical work and ball touches.
Progressions:
1. Angle Variation: Introduce a set and coming off at different angles.
2. Missed Pass Challenge: Players can intentionally miss a pass, finding a further player.
3. Creative Combinations: Players create their own combinations; Player 4 always finishes the phase.
4. Expanded Passing Setup: If both groups demonstrate competency, transition to a larger passing setup involving 8 players with functional movements.
Coaching Points:
- Emphasize precision in passing and controlled receiving.
- Encourage intelligent movement to receive the ball effectively.

Objective:

Setup:
Create two end zones with target players (neutral) in each. Score a point by successfully transferring the ball from one side to the other using passing and receiving skills.
Progressions:
1. Touch Limits: If successful, add touch limits to encourage quick play.
Structure:
- Play three rounds, changing the target players after each round.
Coaching Points:
- Emphasize precise passing and controlled receiving under opposition pressure.
- Encourage players to quickly assess and exploit spaces for effective ball transfer.

Objective:
Initiate playing out from the back in the initial third, emphasizing technical details from previous parts of the session.
Setup:
Play starts with a midfielder playing into the goalkeeper. The play is live from this point.

- Decision-making: Emphasize when and where to play forwards.
- Receiving: Focus on receiving at the feet and opening up the body to see the pitch.

Setup:
Normal match rules apply, but no throw-ins. Encourage quick restarts from goalkeepers, starting from the goalkeeper to encourage initial third build-up.
Coaching Points:

- Tactical Formations:
