The Pattern:
- Right Back plays CDM
- Right back runs beyond WF
- WF comes inside and deeper to fake a recieve from CDM (Opens space behind full back who should track WF)
- CDM plays RB in behind
Notes:
- Same pattern/ball could be played into furthest away CM who comes in between other 2 CMs
- WF may be able to recieve ball if full back doesnt follow WF and turn (CDM talk!)
- WF Could flick around to full back thereself instead
What ifs?
- WF recieves ball and FB hasnt come? Can WF hold and wait for overlap or even drive inside and force nearside CM to go into 9 and 9 goes across into exploited space?
- Full back doesnt follow WF? Turn and drive at defensive line. Use 10, 9 and 11 to create goalscoring threats
- Full back can't get inside pass? Play back and out other side. CB BE ALERT TO SUPPORT FB AS BACK OPTION.
- Full back cant play inside? Play up line to WF who sets higher Centre mid or even play past WF onto oncoming Striker.

- No. 8 goes on to be a striker (Call comes from No.10)
- RB plays ball into oncoming No. 10.
- No. 10 needs to arch run and try to receive to play forwrad - Need to seem a double movement to open more space.
- No. 10 should see forward 8 or even No. 7 potentiall No. 9
- No . 7 needs to run off this into a channel either behind opp FB or between FB and CB
Notes:
- Timing and double movements are key
- No. 7 has to stay high and wide (out of way)
- As does CDM - Play deeper
- If No.10 gets it to play forward she should drive as an option - Could suck out No.8s marker and play her throught inbetween the lines
What Ifs?
- No. 10 cant play forward or poor pass? Use back options and security (potentialy CDM or CBs) as this happens No 8 needs to rotate into 10s position for reset and next phase.
- No. 10's marker is tight - Play back and around or flick for 7 or 8 behind their full back/Marker which should be open pass.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
- No.9 shouts CHANGE with No.8
- No. 8 goes vertically up into Striker position whilst No.9 comes in on the diagonal to face forwrad (double movement).
- No.10 can make 3rd man run into space left by 9 and 9's defender.
Notes/What ifs?
- If No. 9 cant receive to play forward, play to CDM who should play blindside of her marker and be able to recieve. This can immediately go into 3rd man run space of No.10.
