Organization: 20 x 30 yard grid. Triangular zones, of all different sizes, are scattered around the grid.
Instructions: Players must dribble through a triangle without being tagged, or having their ball kicked away from defenders in order to score points. Defenders cannot stay in triangle for more than five seconds, and players cannot enter the same triangle twice in a row.
Coaching Points: -Big touch vs. small touch: when is it appropriate to use which?
-Head up not just looking at triangle zones, but also location of defender.
-Quick change of direction if necessary then accelerate away.
Progressions: -Left foot only dribbling.
-More defenders, less scoring zones.
*Begin activity without ball so players understand the rules.

Tic-Tac-Toe (15 mins)
Organization: 16 cones to make a 4 x 4 grid to Tic-Tac-Toe. Three pinnies for each team.
Instructions: First player from each line dribbles around the entirety of the grid and can then place a pinnie into one of the spots on the grid. If after three tries no one has won, the next player can move one pinnie into a new spot.
Coaching Points: -Big touches on acceleration.
-Smaller touches to ensure a quick cut around the grid; time is of the essence.
-Use outside of foot to cut around the box.
Progressions: -Only one foot to dribble.
-Different ball mastery skills as opposed to just regular dribbling. (Roll Overs, Touch Touches Forwards, Toe Drags Backwards, etc).
