Title: 6v6 Find the free player & dribble to attract (6:55 - 7:15)
Aim: Put players in a setting where they're connecting to find the free player in midfield to dribble to attract an opponent in attempt to take advantage of a gap / space behind. Discuss balance / positioning of midfield Diamond. Behaviors for success - Connecting with a team mate, finding the free player, playing forward, balance in attack.
Organization: Put players in a setting where they're dribbling to attract an opponent in attempt to take advantage of a gap / space behind. Paint the picture of our 8 & 10's driving at a back four after we've built up by finding the free player.
Coaching script / Plan for failure:
6:59 - Players will fail to find another channel by forcing the ball into the 10 / 9's - Discuss what this moment looks like, the communication / body language needed by the free players and the deception required from the player in possession. Where's the advantage in completing another pass?
7:03 - Players will fail in their decision making of when to release the pass. Discuss having courage to dribble at the opponent, using deception to freeze the opponent before connecting with your team mate.
7:06 - Players will fail to hit each others feet (6,8's,10) & the ball will turnover. Discuss the demand of hitting feet and valuing the ball, settling the ball playing two touch, using our front foot, inside of foot or trapping the ball.
7:10 - 9's will fail to check to the ball or run behind the line - discuss our attacking principals, 9's need to be mentally engaged, if they check when the ball is in their channel, what have they created? What's the next movement?
Progression: Add flat midfield four to mimic what BVB did last time out

Title: 4v3 - Balance to create attack (6:35 - 6:55)
Aim: Put players in a setting where they're connecting to find the free player in midfield to dribble to attract an opponent in attempt to take advantage of a gap / space behind. Discuss balance / positioning of midfield Diamond. Behaviors for success - Connecting with a team mate, finding the free player, playing forward, balance in attack.
Organization: Players play 4v3 in grid. One red max per square. Both Eights can't be in bottom squares when six has possession.
Plan for Failure / Coaching Script:
6:40 - 8's will fail to recognize where they should be in relation to their opposite number. They will both be in south squares when six has possesion - Discuss why we shouldn't have both 8's in this position, why its easy to defend and how we are going to change our possession to break a line, take a touch forward and create a 2v1
6:45 - Players will fail to find another channel by forcing the ball into the 10 / 9's - Discuss what this moment looks like, the communication / body language needed by the free players and the deception required from the player in possession.Where's the advantage in completing another pass?
6:50 - Players will fail to hit the target by A - not landing on their striking foot when using their laces B - failing to place the ball into the corner with the inside of their foot
