GK in kit:
Backwards through ladder
Sidestep in and out of cones facing goal
Players passes ball to GK after cones who kicks/plays ball into goal.
Key points:
Weight forward
GK posture through side steps
Head over ball when kicking
Make pass to hands as well as feet

Kicking with power and accuracy: until 11am
Player hits the ball for GK to turn hips and foot and kick into the goal.
Do from both sides and GK uses both left and right as appropriate
Add a GK in the Goal to make a save - play until ball is dead
Add GKs around D so Goalkeeper in goal has rebounds from side top D GK and others to deal with
Do for both feet and then both hands
For hand saves discourage swinging the stick but making a strong glove save - for both hands.
Key points - for kicking, open hips up and use leg nearest goal to kick with. Stepping through after kick
For hands - use left hand until for saves going left and across body for saves going right until level with right shoulder (I'll explain more in morning)
Key points - Hand position when kicking - keep hands up weight forward, follow through not step back wards.
Angle of foot when kicking. bring heel though to side foot, rotate hips to increase angle to hit away from player passing ball

11:30-12:00 u14s Full game so GKs to main pitch U13s - BREAK
12-1pm all training - mix of GKs on main pitches and with us. Continue with earlier session - bring in goalie hockey - they all stay fully kitted for this as use GK techniques to pass ball to one another/score so increasing their understanding of gameplay and vision
1-1:30 U13s Full game so u13s to main pitch and U14s Break
1:30-2pm U14s Full game so u14s to main pitch U13s Break
2-3pm stay on main pitches with teams and play in matches
