Session Organization: Focuses on unbalancing and penetration in 1v1 situations.
Details/Description: First player begins play with a pass across to the attacker who can then score by finishing in either goal.
Progressions: Start with no ball if necessary as a game of tag. Attacker tries to unbalance the defender and run through gate before getting tagged. Progress to adding the ball. Add a resistance line that players must dribble past before scoring to encourage more 1v1 play.
Coaching Points:

- Close control

- Change of speed/direction to penetrate and finish

Session Organization: 15x30 Space with endzones
Details/Description: Each player with a ball and has a number. Players perform feints and ball control skills (moves to unbalance defenders). When a number is called, the player on each side with that number race across to see who enters the endzone first. Player that wins gets one point.

Session Organization: 1v1 into 2v1 Get Out of Jail
Details/Description: Attackers must beat two defenders and finish into the small goal. Defenders must stay in their zone and once the attacker leaves the zone, they can't defend.
Progressions: For young ages, start with defenders fixed to their line and can only move left/right. Progress to defenders able to move anywhere in their space to defend.
Progress to 2v1. Defenders must stay on their line until either the initial pass is made to start play or the attackers enter into the defender's zone.
Coaching Points:
- Eyes up to see approaching defender
- Close ball control
- Use of feints/fakes to unbalance defenders
- Change of speed/direction to penetrate
- Inside foot receiving technique & weight/direction of first touch
