All In Drill
Duration: 25 minutes
Setup: 2 goals placed about about 35 yards from each other. One goalkeeper in each goal. Two players on the outside, a fullback and a winger. Players will line up on the posts of each goal and will sub in after every other play. Balls will need to be placed next to each goal for easy access.
1. Goalkeeper will need to throw the ball out to the winger in the attacking half. The fullback can defend and the winger will need to cross the ball to the goalkeeper . Fullback will need to defend, but not press too hard until the progression.
2. Once the keeper collects the ball, they will throw it to the opposite winger in the other attacking half. The winger will need to cross the ball to that goalkeeper as quickly as possible. The fullback will defend but not press too hard.
Progression:
1. Defender presses more
2. Add more wingers and defenders to the area.
3. Wingers go to goal instead of crossing for goalkeeper to catch.
4. Goalkeeper works on rolling the ball out and throwing the ball out to fullback and wingers.
Coaching Points:
1. Goalkeeper needs to communicate with players
2. Goalkeeper needs to move around to get the ball to the winger
3. Decide when it is better to throw to winger or roll to fullback.
