Key Factors

- Strike through with laces for power and across goal
- Try to beat an onrushing goalkeeper for an open goal
Organisation
- Split the group into 4 equal groups
- Each group works in a section to one goal
- One feeder, one striker and a goalkeeper - remaining players resting
- The feeder passes to the striker, the striker finishes, the goalkeeper collects the ball and joins the line

- Focus on the ball, technique, when finishing
Organisation
- 3 teams of 4
- 4v4 + 4 neutral players
- 2v2 in each half
- Defensive half = 1 goalkeeper, 1 defender
- Attacking half = 2 attackers
- The team in possession can use the neutral team to build play at any time
- 90 second round then rotate teams
- Every other round the attacking and defending players of each team switch

Key Factors
- Speed: 45 degree body angle to accelerate
- Agility: Accelerate off change of direction and use of fakes
- Co-ordination: On toes, high knees, use arms to help legs
Organisation
- Three stations - speed, agility and co-ordination.
- All players perform footwork patterns, decided by the coach, in two lines, through the ladders as the first activity.
- They will also perform a sprint to the cone after their footwork.
- Speed and agility will run simultaneously, with one coach running each one.
Speed:
- Two lines either side of the coach
- The coach has a number of footballs
- As the coach kicks the ball forward, both players race to the ball and the first one there tries to score in the goal
- The losing player brings the ball back to coach
Agility:
- Players in pairs
- The players face each other stood between two markers that are placed five yards apart
- Players numbered 1 & 2
- Each round one player leads (1 first, then 2) and the other follows
- The leader must try to put their foot on either marker to get a point and then go back to the middle
- They can go to the same side twice in a row or perform fakes
- If the follower managers to beat them to the marker then they get 2 points
- 30 second rounds
- Try to beat personal score each new set
