Organisation
Pattern 1
- A takes a touch before playin the first pass which triggers B to make a quick check to create space taway from the passive defender to recieve.
- B receives and switches play to C, this triggers the defender to put pressure on C, who takes a touch to get pass the defender and RWTB to D
- Rotation: A - B - Defender - C - D
Pattern 2
- E pins the defender to receive the pass from D
- D plays a wall pass with E and as the ball is moving back to D, F makes a forward run
- D plays a pass into the path of F who RWTB to A

Coaching points
Attacking
- Ready to attack, ready to defend positioning
- The higher the pressure on the ball the closer you need to be to support. If no pressure then keep a bigger distance
- #6 play in between and in behind the first line of pressure (play in the box)
- Body shape to receive
- Pass to back foot
- Move the ball to unbalance the defenders
- Can you play foreward? if not then change the point of attack
Defending
- Protect the middle-make them player backwards or sideways
- Pressure and cover
- Communication 'SLIDE' 'PRESSURE' 'COVER'
- Tackling triggers
Organisation
- 4v4+4
- Ball always starts from the Coach/GK
- Team in possession play on the outside as 2, 3, 7 and 11
- Team out of possession play on the inside as 6, 8, 9 and 10
- To score you have to get the ball into the number 9

- Find individual space to be able to receive and move foreward
- Draw defender in to free up team mate
- Try to beat defender in a 1v1
- Dont block your team mates path
Defending
- Pressure and cover
- Show attacker wide in a 1v1
- Protect the middle
- Stay compact
Organisation
- 5v5
- No GK, play with small target goals
- The ball can only go into a forward third with a dribble
- You cannot score until you are in the final third
- You can pass the ball in the same or a backwards third of the pitch
- You are free to move in any third

- Make the pitch big
- #6 try to play behind the first line of pressure unless you need to drop in to help #4 and #5
- #2 and #3 start high and wide, drop to support #4 and #5 if there is pressure
- GK to offer support deep
- If no pressure then dribble to draw defender in and free up a player
Defending
- Stay compact and protect the middle
- Pressure and cover
- If the front 2 press then the midfield four need to come and press the players behind them
- Quick transition to attacking shape
Organisation
- 7v6
- Ball starts from the GK
- Red team score by passing it into one of the target goals
- Blue team look to win the ball and score in the big goal
- Starting shape as shown on diagram
