Caf C warmup (20 mins)

Equipment

9 x cones 

3 x mini goals

1 x speed ladder 

3 x hurdles 

4 x agility rings

12 x balls

 

Organization

12 players 

4 players based at each station

3 stations with 3 different SAQ 

4 stages of warm up are completed followed by topic specific incorporation

Stage 5 incorporates finishing in the mini goals after completion of SAQ

Playing part 1 (unopposed exercise) (20 mins)

Equipment

6 x cones 

1 x goal post

12 x balls

 

Organization

12 players ( 5 x outfield + 2 x GK)

3 players based at station A, 3 at station B, 4 at station C

Player 1 dribbles past cone and has a strike at goal. Player 2 plays a wall pass with with player 1 around the blue cone, player 2 then has a strike at goal. Player 3 dribbles with the ball past the blue cone creating an overlapping run with the ball, player 3 then crosses the ball into the box for player 1 and 2. 

Players return to the same station until coach instructs players to change stations.

Disguise when beating player at station A.

Weight and direction of pass when playing the wall pass

Timing of runs into the box when finishing 

Crossover of movement between player 1 and 2

Get head, chest and knee over ball

Playing part 2 (competitive SSG) (20 mins)

Equipment

6 x cones 

2 x goal post

12 x balls

 

Organization

12 players divided into 2 teams, 6 vs 6, 10 outfield + 2 x goalkeepers.

2 players will press in the attacking half, 3 will remain in defensive half. 6 vs 2 rondo.

Team in possession is allowed to shoot after 3 successful passes have been completed.

After shooting, yellow then need to send 2 x players to press opposition.

50m length x 25m width for field dimensions.

 

Conditions

3 x touch max 

Only 2 x players to press at a time 

3 passes must be completed before shooting

50m length x 25m width for field dimensions.

 

Conditions

Both teams to play in GK-2-1-2 formation

Shot must be taken within 8 seconds or ball possession will be given to opposition

Press out of possession to eliminate time + space for the shot.
