Description
FOCUS: Possession - Breaking the line
Seeing the opportunity to go forward as soon as possible while still maintaining possession through a forward pass or dribble to a team-mate.

Dribbling (5 mins)
Phase 2: Dribbling – Moves
Use the same lines, pinnies orcones x2 mins each
Dribbling lines -Players divide into equal numbers at each line
1. Dribble across at speed and give to next player who repeats to opposite side
2. Dribble halfway across and perform a move of choice or selected move by team leader then continue dribble
Move to phase 3

Passing (5 mins)
Phase 3: Passing
Use the same lines, pinnies or cones x2 mins
Passing lines - Players divide into equal numbers at each side
1. Pass the ball across and follow your pass - receiving player controls the ball, passes to opposite side and follows pass

4v2 transition (15 mins)
4v2 transition
- 3 passes and then target can be found, either with a pass or dribble and pass into opposite grid
- 3 players join the target player and the 2 defenders try to win the ball back again.
- After 3 passes or more the team can once again switch grids and transition
- Rotate defenders every 2 mins!

8v6 Breaking the line (25 mins)
Possession - To break the line!
- 8v6 to goal
- No pass restrictions
- Offense must break through either of the 3 gates with a pass or dribble with chasing players staying on side and running beyond the line with no restrictions
- Once the ball is beyond the line the game is live to goal
- Balls always start with a pass into the offense at the half-line
- Defenders score by dribbling over the half-line

Speed & Agility (10 mins)
Speed and Agility
- 3 teams and make competitive!
- Examples include:
- 2 footed jumps - sprint around pole and back to the back of the line!
- 1 footed jumps - sprint forwards then backwards
- Maybe introduce a ball to dribble around the cone and back etc.
- Fitness should be fun!!
