set up SSG pitch 60 x 40 yards with a goal at each end

set up two target goals just past half way line

Set up 3 dome cones, two to replicate centre defenders & 1 to replicate midfielder. (use mannequin's if available)

Set up 1 marker in centre of empty half.

2 x 7v7 goals, 2 x target goals

Organisation:

Position 1 player as Defender,

Position 2 player as Receiver

Position 3 player as Passer 

 

Player 3 to pass into 2, 

Player 2 to check shoulder and step into ball to create space to turn and attack goal

Player 1 to defend

Rotate 1-3, 2-1, 3-2

 

Coaching points

Control on the ball with first touch

Checking shoulder for where the defender is

Positive movement towards goal
