Session Explained:
Rules:
Coaching Points:
- Movement from the 6 - (pulling into False FB/Sideways/Going far side to create space)
- Passing angles
- CB stepping in to create central overload (Block 2)
- FB's rolling inside to get the ball in the half spaces, playing inverted.
- FBs high and wide to drop into space to get on the ball
Number 6 aimed points:Progression/Regression
1 - Add a safe zone if needed, BLUE 9 cant engage until the ball leaves the 18 yard box, if needed and the RED are struggling to get out.
2 - To speed the game up put a time constraint on possession for BLUE when they win the ball back, 10 seconds to score when winning the ball back.
3 - If RED are keeping the ball too long, they have 5 seconds once the 6 passes the ball to score.
Blocks:
1 - CB's cant step in - have to find the 6 with a pass
2 - CB's can now step in
3 - Add extra detail to the 6 - which positions/movement he can do to improve space, Rhys can go into Josh if it's on
4 - Midfield 3 can rotate to create space, but always need to keep the shape of an upside down triangle.
Info to put on the 6:
Ask him where he thinks he should be when a CB is stepping in?
If the CF is dropping onto him, where can he go to create space.
