Description

Bringing both my full backs in the final third of play when in possession of the ball. Fulfilling our chances in those wide areas to have the opportunity in our advantage by creating a 2 v 1 overload. Tactics, ideas, formation put in place for the players with the play breaking down and opposition hitting us on the counter attack

As a team we are looking to move forward in high numbers. when it's our full back and winger going forwards from the flanks we are creating an overload in our advantage at worst it will become a 2 v 2 situation. if that were the case gives our full back encouragement to be more attacking and have no threat with a counterattack coming from this side of the field. we want to fulfill our chances in those wide area as our style in the team is attacking football and the full backs being our key players in this factor because it will ensure us the system can work.

As a team we know how important it is to attack with many numbers as possible in the final third, gives you a greater chance in your end product but at the same time decision making throughout the team has got to be spot on. Decision making? 2 possible outcomes that may happen throughout our attack with our full backs when possession is on either side, I've Shaded both wide areas with 2 decisions that can happen and as a team we must make the right decision. Option 1, the winger follows our full back so in this case we give our full back more freedom to join the attack bring more energy to the game if we lose possession it's impossible for them to counterattack as their winger isn't in the channel. Option 2, their winger decides to stay forward, my full back has a decision on whether or not he attacks and gives a 2 v 1 overload or stay back in the attack and protects the space although as a coach I will put in place in the game for the players that will give us more security that way the full back won't hesitate.
