Dribbling Warm Up
- Inside the 18 yard box, have all players dribbling around the box
- Speed Dribbling, change of direction, and then a little game we will play before going into our activities
- Short touches small spaces
- Big touches big spaces
- Find the Open space
When Coach says 1... turn with inside
When coach says 2... turn with outside
When coach says 3... turn with sole ** arms out for balance and control **
**Always accelerate/change speed after turn with big touch**
Gates Game
- On coaches Call players have 1 minute to dribble through as many gates as possible

Square Dribbling (90 second rounds, 30 seconds rest)
- 5x5 yard boxes (set up 5 boxes.. one may be a triangle for odd number of players)
- 2 players working per box, each player has a ball
- 1 player will start as the defender (tagger), 1 player will start as the attacker
Activity
- On Coaches call, players will dribble around their box. The defender looks to catch up to the attacker while dribbling their ball. The defender may change directions at any point whilst keeping the ball under control.
- If the defender touches the attacker or the attacker loses control, switch roles and continue
- at the end of the 90 seconds whoever is the attacker wins
- winners move up the ladder, those who lost move down the ladder.
Coaching Points
- Close control, keep the ball close
- Heads up
- Change of direction, Change of speed
- Inside foot, outside foot, sole of the foot

End Zone Game
- 25x15 yard Grid (with 5 yard boxes on both ends)
- 4v4/5v5 in the box
Activity
- Teams try to score a goal by dribbling the ball over the end zone line
- Reward 1 point for successfully dribbling over the end zone and 2 points if players are able to stop and control the ball within the 5 yard end zone.
- If the ball goes out of play reset from a kick in/dribble in
- Work to rest ratio (2, 6 min games with 1 min rest)
Progression: If we make 5 passes without the other team touching the ball and dribble passed the end line award 5 points
