This session is designed to develop finishing techniques and skills during attacking overloads.
1. Attacking with precision and speed.
2. Using 3v2 or 2v1 attacking overload situations effectively.
3. Using movement off the ball to stretch opposition defensive line.
4. Finishing off scoring chances.
5. Quick finishing.

Organization:
Set up as shown.
Instructions:
1. Similar to the technical warm up, this 3v2 small group attack starts with the blue player A passing into space for blue player B, as soon as blue payer B receives and drives into the finishing zone, the game becomes live. Blue player B looks to combine quickly with the other two blue attackers inside the finishing zone and look to finish on goal against the two red defenders, the blue team have 8 seconds to score.
2. If the red defenders win back possession, they quickly look to play forward to score in the counter goals on the sides which counts as one point, they can also look to either connect with a team mate in the central zone or can can also dribble over the line to score a point.
3. Once the attack is over, the play restarts in the opposite direction with the reds attacking the two blue defenders to continue the practice and the practice continues until coach's call.
4. If a goal is scored or the ball goes out of play during the attack, the practice restarts in the central zone in opposite direction.
5. Every goal scored =1 point.
6. Attacking players rotates positions i.e. A-B-C-D-A within their team while defenders only rotates positions with attackers after every round on coach's call.
7. Yellow flags and yellow markers represents the offside lines, line of confrontation or restraining line for the defending team.
Coaching Points (Attacking Team):
1. Quick combination play to finish on goal.
2. In possession, use the entire finishing zone by spreading out to provide width in order to disorganize the defending team.
3. Movements to create space in the finishing zone for attacker (player B) to dribble into and also movements off the ball to disorganize the the defending team.
4. Drive at a defender to make the defender commit and look to play the ball behind the defensive line for the remaining attackers.
5. Finish off scoring chances.
Coaching Points (Defending Team):
1. Defending Principles: Pressure and Cover.
2. Angle and speed of approach.
3. Force play into one direction i.e. outside / inside.
4. Correct distances between defending players.
5. Defend i.e. blocks, tackles, clearances etc. Don't dive in!
6. Communication i.e. I go, I got you covered etc.
7. Transition quickly to attack / counter attack upon winning possession.
8. Recovery runs.Progressions:
1. Attacking team has 6 seconds to score as soon as the attacking team player B enters the finishing zone.
2. Game progresses to 3v3+2 into 3v2 conditioned game.

Instructions:
This 3v3+2 into 3v2 condition game is a progression from the 3v2 small group attack.
1. Both teams (Blues & Reds) plays 3v3+2 inside the central zone with the 2 white neutrals staying inside their small flank zones to play with the team in possession. The team in possession will look to combine minimum of three passes with all three players involved before looking to play into one of the neutrals in the flank zones.
2. As soon as a neutral receives the pass, the neutral drives in at speed to connect with the two attackers inside the finishing zone and create a 3v2 attacking overload, they have 8 seconds to score as soon as the neutral enters the finishing zone.
3. If the defenders win back possession, they quickly look to play forward and connect with their team mates in the central zone or can also play into the neutral in the flank zone.
4. If a goal is scored or a corner kick is conceded during the attack or the ball goes out for a goal kick, the goalkeeper quickly serve the ball back into the central zone to restart play with his team or could also serve the ball into the neutral in the flank zone.
5. If the ball goes out for a throw-in in the finishing zone, the play restarts in the central zone with the team that won the throw in.
6. Every goal scored is equal to 1 point.
7. Yellow flags and yellow markers represents the offside lines, line of confrontation or restraining line for the defending team.
8. The coach can also look to serve the ball in from the sides and the players rotates roles on coach's call.
Coaching Points:
1. Quick combination play to finish on goal.
2. In possession, use the entire central zone by spreading out to provide width in order to disorganize the defending team.
3. Movements to create space in the attacking zone for neutral to dribble into and also movements off the ball to disorganize the the defending team.
4. Drive at a defender to make the defender commit and look to play the ball behind the defensive line for the remaining attackers.

Progressions:
1. Attacking team has 6 seconds to score as soon as the neutral enters the finishing zone.
2. One attacker and one recovering defender are allowed to join in when the neutral enters the finishing zone to play 4v3 in the finishing zone.
3. Game progresses to free play (7v7+2) with the all the flanks, zones and conditions being removed.

Technical Warmup
Organization:
Set up as shown.
Instructions:
1. At the start of the technical warm up, the players are divided into two groups, they will look to work simultaneously with two balls in play at the same time in opposite direction.
2. The players looks to combine as shown in the diagram i.e. A-B-C-D, however, they can also look to finish on goal with different combinations and variations of their choice.
3. Once the play is over, player D that finished on goal will look to join the line of the other group to play in the opposite direction.
4. Each player have maximum of two touches while the ball is in play.
5. Players must attack the goal with precision and speed in order to finish on goal.
Coaching Points:
1. Weight and accuracy of passes vs quality of set to allow first time finish.
2. Type of pass i.e. disguise, reverse, top of the foot e.t.c.
3. Movements off the ball i.e. overlaps, underlaps, third man runs etc.
4. Passing angle i.e. diagonal passes i.e. avoid playing straight & square passes.
5. Receiving at an angle i.e. avoid receiving in straight line.
6. Quality of finish.
Progressions:
1. On coach's call, both groups look to start play with the ball going out to the left flank, rotation of players stays the same as before.
2. Technical warmup progresses to 3v2 small group attack.
