2 targets 1 for either team on opposite side of where team is starting. Ball always begins by being sent into teams half and defending players are in own half as well. As ball is played players can then begin to close down the players before the play the ball into their target for points.
Coaching points will look as players defend individually
speed of approach (fast andthen slow down to close down)
body positioning (get down and stay down)
jockey position
distance from player (not too close/ not too far)
patience don't dive in
look to slow down forward movement do not have to win ball to be successful
communication to determine who is closing down player
nearest player to the ball will close down
begin to look at closing down towards numbers up with teammates
Change target players every 5 minutes

1 v 1 Technical
4-5 players in each grid 2 on each side
Ball starts on one side and is played to opposite side. Passer becomes defender and other player attacks. Player tries to stop attacker from beating them and getting to the other end.
Focus on technical aspects of 1 v 1 defending
speed and angle of approach
distance
body positioning
patience
Players will switch lines after each turn, try to have players going against other players
Rotate lines from grids after 10 mins

Possible restriction:
If player gets beat 1 v 1 they have to run and touch a line before coming back into play

Incorporate light jockeying as players sprint forward slow down and jockey back
Begin some general corrections after demoing.

Players start together. Player with ball will begin to dribble at half speed while other player passively defends and works on jockeying. Each player will go 3 times. Then player stands in front of teammate with back to them player plays ball through legs, the player who has the ball played through their legs is the attacker and goes 1 v 1 back to the line to try to beat the player now. The player who passed is the defender. Player only needs to play ball about 10 yards.
