Technical work in the first grid. Each activity is based out of a diamond and dribbling off a angle.
-6 players per diamond
-10 yards between each cone
ProgressionUse the same skill and progress them into a attacking skill, use the variation of turning and then create a attacking or change of direction skill from it.
- L turn with a drag across the front and then serve the ball to the opposite line
- The draw with a step over as if you are bring the ball back to your original line only now stepping over it with a hard step, selling the the skill like your going negative only to use a V to reverse it and then pass to the opposite line.
- The draw with a immediate reverse V once again advancing the ball to the opposite line.
Second progressionRectangle combination
20x10 yards in length and width8 players per grid
This activity is used to work out of a triangle, players in the middle will move in a static form maintaining there shape and balance to the grid. Players on the outside will have to focus on the weight of there pass as well as there technique to complete each pass properly inside the small rectangle. Each outer line will have 3 players in it while the players in the middle will remain in pairs. The outside player use the inside players as combination players. You will see that one player from the top of the grid will sprint toward the bottom of the grid. That player will force the player with the ball to use one of the combination players to connect a pass and work about the on coming player. The drill will then start over at the other side of the grid. Once we get this moving it is a continual flow of players working side to side.
The activity will work for 1 30 seconds. Then we rotate the outer players.
