15/7/12 – Dublin
LC doing rehab – high intensity runs and some ballwork
11.06 – Warm-up DD: Keepy-ups on outside whilst waiting for partner to perform drills. Partner runs to cone 10 yards away, does a dynamic stretch/change of direction in middle. Some stations have small hurdles or cones to run round.
11.11 – Hamstring swings with partner. Dynamic stretches for all active muscles, mainly stationary but also some backwards running
11.18 – Sprinting into middle, then run off and play one-two with man on outside. Run back to middle and repeat. Activities on some stations such as sidesteps around cones/low hurdles
11.27 – Possession MH - 6 men on outside of square, 6 v 6 in middle. Outside men just receive ball and don’t move. Idea is to complete as many passes as possible whilst other team is there just to win ball back
11.36 – 3 groups (DD, MH, AR).
MH - Possession 3x3 in 20 x 20 square. High intensity for 2 x 5 min
DD - 2 men in middle of small square, 1 man receiving ball ahead of other man from 4 men on edge
AR – 1 man on each end of rectangle, pairs in middle receive ball and have to get ball to other man whilst other pair try to win possession
11.54 – Possession MH - - 6 men on outside of square, 6 v 6 in middle. Outside men just receive ball and don’t move. Idea is to complete as many passes as possible whilst other team is there just to win ball back
12.02 – 3 groups (DD, MH, AR)
Same exercise as 11.36 but groups have switched to different coach. Followed by 10 mins rest.
12.20 - Possession MH - 6 men on outside of square, 6 v 6 in middle. Outside men just receive ball and don’t move. Idea is to complete as many passes as possible whilst other team is there just to win ball back
12.30 – 3 groups (DD, MH, AR)
Same exercise as 11.36 but groups have switched to different coach. Followed by 10 mins rest.
12.45 – 9 v 9 with goals – game.
13.00 – ‘Flower run’ – Dribbling 30 yards to middle and then around stations on edge, going back to middle in between – stations set out in petal formation. You have to complete petal in certain time. Done 6 times, last 2 without ball
Finish around 13:30 – total mins = 170
