2v2 with Coach Service
Equipment:
- Balls, Bibs, Cones, Nets
Organization/Implementation:
- Put starting position cones so that will keep/encourage the attackers to stay nice and wide
- Split the players into 2 equal teams - 2v2 on the field with the other players waiting at the outside of each post of the goal they are defending
- Coach serves the ball to a pair of attackers who play against 2 opposing defenders
- The 2 attackers work together to score against the 2 defenders
- If the 2 defenders win the ball they transition to score on the opposite goal
- It is up to the coach to decide which pair of attackers to serve the ball to
Coaching Points:
- Attacker(s) should dribble at the defenders with speed
- FIrst attacker should try to create a 1v1 situation
- The second attacker should take up a supporting position and look to create a 2v1 or combo play with first attacker

Rondo with 4 Neutral Players
Equipment:
- Balls, Bibs, Cones
Organization/Implementation:
- Neutral players represent flank players, GKs and/or Strikers
- Objective of the exercise is to get the players to understand and get comfort with regards to when to pass back, left or right and forward
- Game is a soccer tennis activity with neutral players
- Neutral players can move freely along the side line or end line
- Play 2v2 or 3v3 - objective is for the attacking team to work together to evade the pressure of the defending team and advance the ball to the opposite side of the grid
- At first the neutral players can't be tackled - then move to full pressure
- Attacking team MUST make 5 passes before the ball can be advanced
- At first ball can only be played forward by non-neutral players - then progress to neutral (particularly flank players being able to advance the ball
- Players must get a better understanding of when to pass back vs use the flank players
- If the attacking team loses the ball, passes the ball out of bounds or turns the ball over, then the defending team takes their place and the attacking team goes on defense
- Try to make the activity as functional as possible - keep the GK as one of the goal line neutral players - rotate the players as necessary

2v2 with continuous transition
Equipment:
- Balls, Bibs, Cones, Nets
Organization/Implementation:
- 2 attackers play against 2 defenders
- As soon as the 2 attackers take a shot on goal, or if the ball goes out of bounds, 2 new attackers immediately attack - the two initial attackers then defend
- If the ball is turned over in the run of play, the team that gave up the ball immediately defends
- We only have a new set of attackers after an attacking initiative

2v2 attack & defend
Equipment:
- Balls, Bibs, Cones, Net
Organization/Implementation:
- 2 attackers play against 2 defenders
- As soon as the 2 attackers take a shot or if the ball goes out of bounds - 2 new attackers start and the 2 original attackers become defenders
- Goals for the attacking team only count if they are over/past the scoring line (outlined by a line of cones)
- If the defenders win the ball then they should try to play the ball to the coach on the sideline
