Session Focus IDP
Description
Block 3 & 4
First phase player 1, 2, 4, 3 - CB passes to opposite CB (player 2) who then passes the ball into player 4, who then must receive on the half turn and play a through ball into player 3 for a first time cross.
Second phase player 2, 1, 5 - CB (player 2) passes the ball into CB (player 1) who then drives with the ball into space until they draw pressure then must pass the ball out to winger (player 5) who then has a 1v1 with defender in the box and must beat him and finish.
Second ball for the CM (player 4) to get another finish within the box served from a coach- this is linked to his IDP of finishing in around the box.
Zac Hopkins CB
Technical - Passing technique to break lines, pass accuracy, driving with the ball then releasing the pass
Psychological - Confidence to execute the passes with detail and correct weight of pass
Charlie Donovan
Technical - Opening up hips when receiving the ball, back foot receiving and quick release to find forward pass, scanning before receiving, passing technique over short and medium distance
Psychological - Confidence to keep playing the passes forward, mentality if the passes do not go to the player
Alfie Bennett
Technical - forward passes into danger areas, receiving on the half turn, weight of pass into the forwards, scanning, improve finishing in and around the box
Tactical - Awareness of what is around you, movement to receive the ball with time and space
Psychological - confidence to play the forward passes even if they go wrong sometimes

Technical - Finishing technique in around the box, inside of the foot to curl, laces for power, and placement of the finishing far post or near post
Tactical - timing of movement to be behind the ball rather than in front of the ball
