Warmup

Warmup: 10 min.

Organization:

Keeper in-front of either another keeper (yellow), coach or field player (black) separated by 5 to 7 yards. Ideally two keepers (Yellow) will be working together and doing the same drills back and forth. 

Movements: Letters below correspond with letter in animation.

A) With 2 keepers- players role balls underhand on the ground (bowling style) hard back and forth. The keeper who receives the ball will scoop the ball with both hands and do a forward dive. With one keeper and player or coach (black) is just passing crisp balls to the keeper who is forward diving and passing back underhand. 

B) With 2 keepers - players throw back and forth (catapult style). With one keeper and player or coach (black) may throw or volley/punt to the keeper who is to catch the ball and throw back (catapult style). Reference to how to throw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk3ScCiRg_E 

C) With 2 keepers- Players punt ball back and forth with pace. With one keeper and player or coach (black) They will punt the ball to the keeper as well. 

D) With 2 Keepers- Players with both hands, will throw the ball high into the air in the middle of the the two players. The receiving keeper will yell (Keep or Keeper) and jump up and catch the ball at the highest point with non-jumping leg's knee up in the air toward direction of jump to protect body. E) With 2 Keepers- One will be laying on their side or face down, The other player with both hands, will throw the ball high into the air in the middle of the the two players. When the ball is thrown, the receiving keeper get off the ground, yell (Keep or Keeper) and jump up and catch the ball at the highest point with non-jumping leg's knee up in the air toward direction of jump to protect body. Other player or coach (Black) will just throw the ball up in the air to keeper. 

F) Keeper will stand across from either other keeper or player or coach (black) in a ready position with hands out from side with palms facing toward kicker. Kicker is going to pass the ball to the right (1) the keeper with throw the ball back. When keeper is back in the ready position in the middle the kicker will pass the ball to their left (2).

Underhand pass

Underhand pass: 10 min.

Coach or player (black) stand two feet outside the 18 yard box near the end-line and sideline. Keeper (yellow) stands in the middle of the goalie box line. Player (red) stands on the other side of the coach or player (black) in between the 18 yard box and midfield line near the sideline. 

Movements:

A) Coach or player (black) will toss the ball underhand in the air toward the goalie box line. The keeper (yellow) will call out "keeper" or keep" and  jump up and catch the ball at its highest point with non-jumping leg's knee up in the air toward direction of jump to protect body. Once the ball is caught, keeper will move quickly to the end of the 18 yard box half circle on the opposite side.

B) keeper (yellow) will pass the ball underhand on the ground (bowling style) hard toward the player (red).

C)Player (red) once received the ball will pass the ball back to coach or player (black) 

1)The drill will take place on the right side of field.

2)The drill will take place on the left side of field. 

Coaching points:

1)Make sure Keeper is calling "Keeper "or "Keep"

2) Keeper should be catching ball at highest point in the air.

3)Keeper should role ball to the player (red) lead trap foot to help them go up field.

Player (red) stands on the other side of the coach or player (black) in between the corner of the 18 yard box and the sideline and will be running toward the midfield line. 

Movements:

A) Coach or player (black) will toss the ball underhand in the air toward the goalie box line. The keeper (yellow) will call out "keeper" or keep" and jump up and catch the ball at its highest point with non-jumping leg's knee up in the air toward direction of jump to protect body. Once the ball is caught, keeper will move quickly to the end of the 18 yard box half circle on the opposite side.

B) keeper (yellow) will pass the ball underhand on the ground (bowling style) hard in front of (leading) the player (red) who will eventually meet the ball on their running path.

C)Player (red) once received the ball will pass the ball back to coach or player (black)

Catapult pass

Organization:

Coach or player (black) stand two feet outside the 18 yard box near the end-line and sideline. Keeper (yellow) stands in the middle of the goalie box line. Player (red) stands on the midfield line, 1) in-between the left sideline and center circle, 2) middle of center circle, 3) in-between the right sideline and center circle.

Movements:

A) Coach or player (black) will toss the ball underhand in the air toward the goalie box line. The keeper (yellow) will call out "keeper" or keep" and jump up and catch the ball at its highest point with non-jumping leg's knee up in the air toward direction of jump to protect body. Once the ball is caught, keeper will move quickly to the end of the 18 yard box half circle on the opposite side.

B) keeper (yellow) will pass the ball over hand (catapult style) in the air to the player (red) ball should ideally meet at player (red) feet.

1)The drill will take place on the right side of field.

2)The drill will take place on the left side of field.

Coaching points:

1)Make sure Keeper is calling "Keeper "or "Keep"

2) Keeper should be catching ball at highest point in the air.

3)Keeper should throw the ball and have it land at player (red) feet.

Punting circles

Punting circles: 10 min.

Organization:

Keeper (yellow) near the top of the 18 yard box in the 18 yard box. soccer balls keeper in the 18 yard box. Three circles made up of cones each circle of cones is a different color. Each circle is 5X5 yards or bigger or smaller depending on level of difficulty. Bigger= easier, smaller=difficult. Player (red) behind circles to kick balls back to keeper(yellow).

Movements:

Keeper (yellow) will punt balls trying to have the ball land in each colored circles.

Game: 25 min.

Organization:

7V7 players (blue)(red) in the midfield. 2 goalkeepers (yellow)(orange) in the 18 yard box on each goal. Two goals small goals on each sideline with the midfield line in the middle of the goal. 

General Rules: Rules will vary based on the progression of the game. 

Player (red) and (blue) will play against each other 7v7 small sided game each team trying to score on small goals on the half field line. in order to a team to score, each team has to pass it to their goal keeper at least once per each possession. The keeper will pick up the ball with his or her hands and will distribute the ball back to the team who passed it to the keeper. If the team loses possession after the keeper passed them the ball they must pass the ball back to the keeper before attempting to score. 

Progression of Rules:

1) Team (red) and (blue) can pass it to either keeper (yellow) or (orange) before attempting to score. keeper (yellow) or (orange) may pass with feet, pick up ball and pass underhand, overhand, or punt to the team that passed to them. 

2)Team (red) and (blue) can pass it to either keeper (yellow) or (orange) before attempting to score. keeper (yellow) or (orange) may only pass with their feet to the team that passed to them. 

3) Team (red) and (blue) can pass it to either keeper (yellow) or (orange) before attempting to score. keeper (yellow) or (orange) may only pass underhanded to the team that passed to them.

4)Team (red) and (blue) can pass it to either keeper (yellow) or (orange) before attempting to score. keeper (yellow) or (orange) may only pass overhanded to the team that passed to them.

5)Team (red) and (blue) can pass it to either keeper (yellow) or (orange) before attempting to score. keeper (yellow) or (orange) may only pass punting to the team that passed to them.

6) Team (red) can only pass to keeper (yellow) and team (blue) only pass to keeper (orange) before attempting to score. keeper (yellow) or (orange) may pass with feet, pick up ball and pass underhand, overhand, or punt to their specific team.

7)Team (red) can only pass to keeper (yellow) and team (blue) only pass to keeper (orange) before attempting to score. keeper (yellow) or (orange) may pass with feet passed to their specific team.
